In what can be aptly described as an overstatement of immense proportions, an unknown presidential candidate, says God has informed him that
he will be the next President of Nigeria.
While the two leading candidates of the PDP and APC, President Goodluck Jonathan and Muhammadu Buhari, have dominated the headlines, it’s only right for other presidential aspirants to earn their share of media attention.
Therefore, the Presidential candidate of the African Peoples Alliance, APA, Musa Ayeni, on Monday, March 9, claimed to have received divine assurance that he will win the March 28 election.
While speaking with journalists in Akure, he categorically stated that his entry into the presidential race was nothing but an acquiescence to the directive of God.
Ayeni said he was pretty certain that he would defeat Jonathan and Buhari in the election, provided it is free and fair.
The APA candidate, who is a former deputy governor in the old Ondo State, said Nigerians would be surprised when he emerges the President of the country.
He said: “I came into the race because God directed me to contest the election. God told me categorically that I will succeed President Goodluck Jonathan and I believe what God says, hence, my resolve to contest the forthcoming presidential election.”
Speaking further, he said “with people like me at the helm of affairs, we can be sure of a better and prosperous Nigeria.”
