Mavin Records artiste, Korede Bello, who recently marked his birthday, has defended a statement he made not too long ago regarding his new status.
Korede explained that the reason behind the statement was as a result of the huge
success he has achieved in the entertainment industry, stating that some of his fans misconstrued it.
“What I actually said was that I was not where I used to be, but that my life has changed for good. I never said I was living big or living flamboyantly. I want to believe that my statement was misinterpreted and to restate my statement, I appreciate God that my life has changed for good and the fact that He has lifted me from where I used to be.
“I cannot run away from the fact that my level has changed. I want to believe that this is a major prayer every human being prays for virtually on a daily basis. I don’t think this should be twisted,” he said.
Speaking with Tribune newspaper on what his preference would be if not for music, the singer noted that he would have been a pastor or motivational speaker but hoped he would still be able to speak to a large audience someday.
According to him, “I was told I liked preaching a lot. My guess is that I would have become a pastor, a motivational speaker or even a broadcaster, because I also love TV productions, especially communicating to an enormous audience.
“However, that is still in the pipeline, because I am actually studying Mass Communication at the Nigerian Institute of Journalism, (NIJ). I look forward to a day I will stay behind the microphone anchoring programmes.”
