Also, the 32-year old has expressed in no indistinct terms that he will resign from international football after the 2017 Africa Cup of Nations.
“I will certainly leave after the next Africa Cup of Nations,” he said. “I have been here for thirteen years now and from when I started, you will notice I am the only one still standing,” Enyeama said.
The former Enyimba goalkeeper admitted he was on the verge of quitting after the last World Cup in Brazil, but was prevailed upon by his family to hold on.
“I thought about quitting after the World Cup in Brazil, but I spoke to my family and they encouraged me to stay on,” he revealed.
Enyeama went on to mention Warri Wolves goalkeeper, Daniel Akpeyi as his possible replacement.
“I heard Dan (Akpeyi) did well in our last match in South Africa. I think he’s a good goalkeeper and I think he can take over from me,” he added.
