Darius Wlodarski, a 41-year-old man from Poland, queued outside an Apple store in Bristol, England for 44 hours to buy an iPhone 6 to make his estranged wife happy, Daily Mail reports.
He arrived a day before anyone else, and was the first person in the queue.
His wife, Joana, whom he was married to for 20 years, is said to have left him after accusing him of
“valuing material possessions over his family.”
Despite their breakup, Wlodarski was determined to keep a promise he made to her before their split – to buy her an iPhone 6.
“I did so many things wrong and I want to say sorry to my wife and daughter that I wasn’t as good as I could.
It took me a while to realise what really mattered – and that is my family.
My wife said to me I should remember that it is now ‘things’ that matter, that I was worrying too much about saving for things, and she was right.
I know an iPhone is another ‘thing,’ but I told her I would get her one and I wanted to keep my promise,” he said.
Wlodarski is currently unemployed, however; he spent £800 on the phone, using his credit card to pay.
Although he doesn’t expect that the iPhone 6 will win her back, he hopes it will bring her happiness.
Would you go this far to save your marriage???
