YEKPA!!! CALABAR NYSC YOUTH CORPERS DON VEX FOR RAT - LASSA FEVER AWARENESS RALLY (PHOTOS)

Calabar city was shut down on the 12th of February 2016 as corps members took to the streets to sensitize the people about the Viral disease .
This massive rally was led by
Ifeanyichukwu Daniel (cr/15a/0112) aka Hero daniels (Celebrity TV presenter,Ebonylifetv ) who undertook this project as his personal community  development  service.
This rally witnessed a turnout of over 1500 corps  members and other well meaning citizens

In an address,The state coordinator of the NYSC,Cross River State, Mrs Ifeoma Anunobi commended the corps member  for this great initiative  and also encouraged  other corps members to undertake  great projects such as this. She also talked about the impact of the NYSC scheme in the nation and how the cds scheme has contributed  greatly to its development.

The corps member, Ifeanyichukwu Daniel charged the guests and other corps members to arise to the need of the nation to combat this deadly disease. He attributed  his inspiration to the increase in the number of deaths caused by this disease. He also used the medium to thank his committee  members and sponsors for making the event possible.

The corps members went to marian market distributing  fliers and sensitize get people while the  band cds played and entertained people.thereafter ,they proceeded to the watt market where they hosted a major show featuring dance ,drama and comedy.these activities  were all in line with the theme of the rally which was eradicating Lassa fever from Nigeria ,Prevention is always better than  cure!

The rally ended on a high note when  the corps  member ,Ifeanyichukwu Daniel gave his vote of thanks together  with his committee  and the NYSC  Anthem was sang.The sponsors  for this event were Arubah Specialist Hospital, Eddylis Nig,Akogate Water,Novarosta  bus and tours, min of health, Ebonylife tv,hit fm ,crbc,stormblast media, nta amongst others
