HI, CAN WE MEET YOU?
My name is Jitey Peters and I am 22 years old. I am from Sapele, a small cosmopolitan town in Delta State, Nigeria. I am the sixth child of my parents which is a family of Nine with seven children. I studied Health Science Education from the prestigious University Of Benin and graduated two years ago.

HOW WAS GROWING UP LIKE FOR YOU?
Awesome, Lots of pampering, Being told what to do for the most part,But I can't leave out the protective coverage .
Helped a lot...to explore, try a lot of things that helped influenced who I am today

NOW LET'S TALK ABOUT AIRTEL/TRACE MUSIC STAR CONTEST, HOW DID YOU GET TO FIND OUT ABOUT IT?
I had been seeing the Airtel Trace Music Star competition advertised on Trace TV countless of times but I paid little attention to it as I doubted the authenticity and not sure if talent audition was what I wanted at this time.
A friend randomly called me and urged me to enter for the competition and give it a shot that it might just be an avenue for me to show case my talent and actualize my dream.
Reluctantly I apparently entered the competition a week or two to when it would expire singing a couple of songs playfully and carelessly paying no real attention to what I was doing. To this day when this scenario plays through my heard my thought is always: "How blessed I am to eventually win an event I gave little or no attention and no real seriousness nor hope entering it."
I would say it’s just God’s opportunity turned into a testimony.

TODAY YOU ARE THE WINNER OF THE AIRTEL/TRACE MUSIC STAR CONTEST NIGERIA, TELL US, WHAT HAS BEEN YOUR STORY SO FAR, BEFORE, DURING AND AFTER THE CONTEST.
I lost my Dad sometime in September 2014 and his death really affected the whole of my family including me. He was the one around which we build our world around.
I had to move back home from lagos where i was already working for an online TV station as a tv presenter, a job which was only an alternative to fulfilling my dreams as a musical artist.
Cobams was part of the many reasons I moved to lagos but apparently I didn’t have what it took  then to work with him so I had to settle for the TV job which was a fair alternative as at the time.
Airtel Trace Music Star happened as a last option but I will say at the right time. I actually  had no money to make elaborate plans for myself and the competition. I took it at its stride and saw it as an avenue to showcase my talent, God’s given talent.
It was all about music and good rending and that I believed was the best message to pass and not just some emotional attraction filled with pity.
