READ TODAYS EDITION OF RHAPSODY OF REALITIES.

TOPIC: LIVE IN, AND BY, THE WORD

OPENING TEXT:
Wherefore lay apart all filthiness and superfluity of naughtiness, and receive with meekness the engrafted word, which is able to save your souls (James 1:21).
The only material given to you to build your life is God’s Word. There’s no hope for anyone who ignores the Word, for the Word of God is life. Proverbs 13:13 says, "Whoso despiseth the word shall be destroyed: but he that feareth the commandment shall be rewarded." To ignore the Word is to set one’s self up for extreme disadvantage in life.
Hosea 4:6 says, "My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge…." You need the knowledge of the Word to be effective in life and know all that’s been made available to you in Christ Jesus. Acts 20:32 says, "And now, brethren, I commend you to God, and to the word of his grace, which is able to build you up, and to give you an inheritance among all them which are sanctified." There’s no other way: the Word of God is the only means through which faith—the Godkind of faith—can be imparted to your spirit.
Every Christian must open his heart to hear and receive the Word. Our opening verse admonishes that we "…receive with meekness the engrafted word…." Those who ignore the Word have their joy short- lived. If you ever find yourself unhappy, unfulfilled or disoriented, stay in the Word; interpret and respond to situations on the basis of God’s Word. Have a rapacious appetite for the Word, and apply it to your personal life. Always, make adjustments in your life in line with the counsel and wisdom you receive from the Word.
The Word is for you to live by; we’re Word practitioners; we do what the Word says. That’s the way to experience the blessing of the Word in your life. James 1:22 says, "Be ye doers of the word and not hearers only." Living in, and by, the truth of God’s Word means you’ve set yourself up for an eternal journey of glory and success.
Prayer:
My heart is open to receive the engrafted Word with meekness, faith, and gladness. The Word is effectual in me today, producing the fruit of what it talks about, changing me, and ordering the circumstances of life to align with God’s purpose and destiny for me, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.
