A 65-year-old Painter from Mamelodi West in South Africa’s Tshwane identified as Linda Khumalo has been stripped and whipped to death in public by wife, 65-year-old Salome Mthapo and angry mob for allegedly molesting a 12-year-old girl while their 17-year-old daughter, Elizabeth Malantshwane could only watch helplessly as her father was being killed.
The wife is however now full of regrets, she claimed she is heartbroken as never thought the act would lead to the death of her husband. The daughter reported that she did not know of the event until her friends came to tell her that her father is being beaten in the street. She said her father was already covered in blood when she got there.
We gathered from our reports that nobody was able to stop the angry mob, not even the police but three suspects aged between 21 and 24 have been arrested and would appear in the Mamelodi Magistrates Court on Monday on a charge of murder.
