"I BEGGED TO PERFORM AT SHOWS FOR FREE" - PRAIZ

R&B and pop star, Praise Adejo better known as Praiz, has revealed that like most up and coming acts, he went through a harsh period after contesting in Nigeria’s biggest music reality TV show, MTN Project Fame.

In a recent interview, when asked what major challenges he faced before becoming Rich and Famous in Nigeria according to his new debut album, the ‘Mercy’ singer said: ‘My major memorable experience after MTN Project Fame was  after a period where people have watched you on TV for like three months and you didn’t win, the benefit you will get is almost like nothing. And trying to live up to the expectations of the people but there were like trying times for me.’

Speaking further, Praiz said the aftermath of being part of such a contest is never as easy as people think it is.

‘The talent was there but resources to record music, promote music wasn’t there, it was a hard one though but I kept on persisting, went to shows where I begged to perform for free just to grace the limelight.’

Although surely firmly etched in the memory of Praiz, all that would seem really far away now for Praiz, who is currently signed to X3M Music.
