READ TODAYS EDITION OF RHAPSODY OF REALITIES.

TOPIC: THE GOOD NEWS OF CHRIST'S SALVATION

Opening Text: The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the broken-hearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised, To preach the acceptable year of the Lord (Luke 4:18-19).
It’s not enough that you’re preaching a message about Jesus Christ; it’s got to be "good news," for if it’s not "good news" then it’s not Gospel. The Gospel of Christ makes sinners righteous! It catapults the poor from obscurity, penury, and misery to a life of prosperity, glory, and excellence. It’s the power of God unto salvation to everyone that believes (Romans 1:16).
The sinner needs to know that Jesus already bore the penalty for his sins: "But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed" (Isaiah 53:5). This is good news!
The Gospel to the poor is that "God has brought you out of poverty, into prosperity and abundance" (2 Corinthians 8:9). The Gospel to the sick is that "Christ took our infirmities and bare our sicknesses" (Matthew 8:17); therefore no more sickness, no more disease, and no more infirmities!" He has made the power available to keep you in divine health.
Perhaps, there’s been a lingering problem at work, in your family, marriage, health, or with your children. On the other hand, maybe it’s a loved one that’s been suffering so badly. I have good news for you: Jesus has taken away the pain! He has remedied the situation; the darkness is over. There’s a miracle for you even now, if you’d only believe and receive His Word to you by faith.
Prayer: Dear Father, I thank you for the glorious Gospel of Christ, through which your power is unveiled, with life and immortality brought to light! Thank you for anointing me to preach the good news of Christ’s salvation, and bring as many as you’ve ordained out of darkness into your marvellous light, and into the glorious liberty of the sons of God; in Jesus’ Name. Amen.
