Fire Tuesday evening gutted Christ Embassy Church located at Oregun, Ikeja in Lagos.
Property worth millions of Naira were destroyed in the inferno. Vanguard gathered the fire started at about 6.30pm as a result of power surge in a building housing 14 generating sets.
Efforts by the members of the church to put out the fire using extinguishers however proved abortive as the inferno spread to the main auditorium where property worth several millions of Naira were destroyed.
