ARMED ROBBERS INVADE WELL KNOWN CHURCH IN IBADAN DURING SERVICE

A gang of seven armed robbers yesterday Sunday March 2 invaded The Vine Branch Church in Yemetu, Ibadan, Oyo state.
According to eyewitnesses, the robbery gang stormed the church around 12noon while the service was going on and after offering and tithes had been collected. The robbers told the congregation to lie on the floor and robbed in an operation that lasted 15 minutes. They took away Tithes/Offering, phones and other items.

The resident Pastor, Sola Kolade confirmed the incident and said some members sustained injuries. A member of the church who witnessed the incident said a police officer was killed in the operation but we can’t confirm that at the time of filing this report.
