READ TODAYS EDITION OF RHAPSODY OF REALITIES.
TOPIC: GET RID OF NEGATIVITIES
Opening Text: For by thy words thou shalt be justified, and by thy words thou shalt be condemned (Matthew 12:37).
Proverbs 18:21 says, "Death and life are in the power of the tongue…." This lets us know the power and creative force of words. Words are so powerful; they can either make or mar; they’re the compass with which you chart the course of your life. It’s therefore important that you’re careful not to talk in a way that contradicts the Word of God in your life.
For example, it makes no difference what the task that’s been set before you might be, never say "I can’t do it!" Recognize that you’re sufficient in God’s sufficiency, and as a result, you can do all things. We live in a world that’s full of negativities, and people very easily talk fear, lack, defeat and failure. But you’re not of this world; your language, therefore, must be different. When a Christian talks negatively, it rubs off on his spirit and contradicts the work of God in his life; it affects the divine nature of his spirit. This is the reason some Christians claim to know the Word of faith, yet, it doesn’t seem to be producing results in their lives. The reason, for the most part, is that their spirits are loaded with a lot of negativisms which must be removed through the knowledge of God’s Word.
2 Corinthians 3:18 says, "But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory, even as by the Spirit of the Lord." As you study and meditate on the Word, the circumstances of your life are altered to conform to the realities of the Word of God. The more you imbibe the Word, the more you’re transformed from glory to glory, with the Word building in you a positive mentality.
In Philippians 4:13 Paul said, "I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me"; this is the right mentality for the new creation in Christ. There’s nothing you can’t do; therefore, eliminate all forms of negativism and pessimism from your vocabulary. Train yourself in God’s Word to see only boundless possibilities, and have the "I can-do-mentality."
PRAYER
Dear Father, I thank you for the glory of your Word in my life! Your Word, O Lord, is a lamp unto my feet and a light unto my path, by which I see and apprehend the greater levels of glory you’ve ordained for me, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.
